Arkansas police chief resigns after calling reporter a 'smelly left-wing liberal'

This is how it is now and days....

Two sides...left and right.....

Both competing for your allegiance to strike a blow to the other side.

In the hope they will win thus allowing them to create laws that they think all should follow and respect.

Divide and Rule:In politics and sociologydivide and rule (or divide and conquer) (derived from Greekδιαίρει καὶ βασίλευεdiaírei kaì basíleue) is gaining and maintaining power by breaking up larger concentrations of power into pieces that individually have less power than the one implementing the strategy. The concept refers to a strategy that breaks up existing power structures and prevents smaller power groups from linking up.

Clearly it has had an effect......

the headline made me laugh. polarization is a very useful term for this argument. by driving a wedge between the people and setting them against each other, they lose sight of who the real enemy is.

my dead business partner always said that the republicans were there to lie to the right and the democrats were lying to left, to which i would add that the banker gangsters were there in the shadows playing both ends from the middle. like george carlin said, a bipartisan agreement just means that we’re getting screwed extra hard.

It’s the politics of fear. Same reason that some of the most ardent opponents of the so-called Obamacare were also those who may have benefitted the most from it. Centrists like myself have no voice in government.
